Subject to observance of this condition the Policy shall not be invalidated by any defect in any of the Fire Extinguishing Appliances due to any circumstances unknown to or beyond the control of the insured. | ALL SECTIONS |
END03 | POLICY WORDING UPDATES 1/ Under the General Exclusions on Page 9 of Your policy wording the following additional Exclusion is now included:- Communicable Disease An outbreak of any human infectious or contagious diseases including but not limited to:- i. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and/or any mutant derivative or variations thereof however caused; ii. any communicable disease. This Exclusion applies to all Sections of Your policy wording. 2/ Under Extension to what is covered under Section H on Page 30 of Your policy wording, i. Murder, Suicide, Disease or Food Poisoning is removed and replaced with:- i. Murder, Suicide or Food Poisoning a. Murder or suicide on the premises. b. Poisoning caused by food or drink provided by you at the premises. The most we will pay is £5,000 any one claim. 3/ Under Extension to what is covered under Section H on Page 30 of Your policy wording, iv. END04 | PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CLAUSE It is a condition precedent to liability that the Insured will:- i. install and maintain Carbon Monoxide detectors through all individual buildings to be hired out as described in Your Schedule and these are tested before every hire. ii. all gas canisters when not in use should be stored in a separate lockable steel cage at least 7 meters away from any buildings, and all canisters should be replaced on an annual basis. For the avoidance of doubt “in use” shall mean when connected to a gas appliance for use solely for the period of the hire. iii. have appropriate fire extinguishers within each individual building that are inspected visually before each hire, they should all be maintained in full working order and inspected annually by a fully qualified person with any defects remedied promptly. | ALL SECTIONS |
