What to consider when insuring your yurt?
The first thing to consider is how much your yurt cost to buy – this is the building sum insured and we will use it to start to work out a price for your insurance. Don’t forget to include the yurt structure itself, any linings and lighting and then ancillaries such a hot tub, shower or toilet that might form part of, or be located next to your yurt.
Next, consider the value of the contents inside your yurt – what do you keep inside your yurt? – include the value of any beds, sofas, cooking equipment etc.
Our policy is flexible and allows you to cover additional items such as awnings, BBQs, gas bottles, firepits and outdoor furniture, whilst it is being used or being stored.
In addition to the structure and contents, you also need to consider Public Liability insurance as well, just in case something goes wrong or an accident occurs!
